About Sing Leung MAOM, Dipl. OM, (NCCAOM), L.Ac.

Licensed Acupuncturist in Massachusetts

About Sing Leung, L.Ac., MAOM, Dipl. OM

Sing is a compassionate practitioner of the Chinese-style Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. He is the founder of ACUTECH LLC. He also works for Fenway Health, in the Behavioral Health Department as a Detox Acupuncturist.

During the initial visit, he begins with a comprehensive patient review, designed to understand your unique health pattern and behavior. Then he creates an individualized treatment plan tailor-made for you. As for follow-up visits, he will closely track your results, and modify the treatment accordingly in order to target the root. In other words, his treatments not only focus on your symptoms, but also concentrate on the root of your problem.

He received his Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from MCPHS University, New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA in spring of 2017. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) certified by the Board of Registration in Medicine’s Committee on Acupuncture of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and also a board-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

During his more than 730 hours of supervised clinical internships at the NESA teaching clinic, Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, and at Boston Medical Center, Sing worked with many diverse populations, including patients with disability, HIV and AIDS, the elderly, and those with mental health concerns.

Sing graduated from UMass Amherst in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, along with a minor in Psychology. Prior becoming an acupuncturist, he used to work in a genetic laboratory as an associate scientist in Cambridge, MA.

Sing learned about acupuncture while visiting family in Hong Kong. After receiving his first acupuncture treatment, sleep quality had significantly improved. His curiosity has led him to pursue a career in acupuncture. He developed a strong interest in cognitive and behavioral health as he has had experiences doing undergrad research on “benefits of sleep on financial decision making.” He hopes to share the benefits of acupuncture with others and to help patients improve their cognitive-behavioral health & wellbeing.

Aside from work, he likes to travel and explore different places around the world. His hobbies include swimming, biking, hiking, skiing, and Zumba/hip-hop dancing.
